Star Lab CNC 1st cut

This was my first cut using a Star Lab CNC 4x8 table with Hypertherm 85 SYNC w/65amp cartridge. The part is a ½” steel base plate for a theatrical lighting boom. I did a dry run prior to making the actual cut. Success the first time.

Cad Cam Cut all in one software??? Star Lab cnc cutting another cool design.

I mainly made this video to question the marketing gimmick “Cad Cam Cut all in one software” I’m not saying it’s not a good concept, but a selling point??? I’d have to question that and especially if it comes with a higher price tag. As you’ll see in this video, even holding a camera in one hand, it’s not hard to navigate 3 separate programs. Gantry Realignmnent

If you should happen to knock the gantry out of square you can easily re-square the gantry by removing the end caps, loosening the gantry bolts and using the auto home switches to re-square the gantry. This is also a great time to go through and clean the rail and make sure everything is nice and tight.
