General Questions

From 4×4 up to 12×40. Exact travels/clearance and water depth are set per model in the product pages.

Stepper (std): .0004″ min resolution, ~600 IPM rapids, up to ~400 IPM cutting; capable from 26 ga to 2″ steel.
Servo (opt): 1600+ IPM rapids, 450+ IPM Z, .0002″ resolution, 120 VAC power; best for high-throughput and larger tables.

We use brand-name hardened & ground profile linear rails on machined surfaces with scrapers/wipers—no wheels on rod, no bearings on raw steel. It’s the same motion class used on CNC lasers and machine tools.

THC reads arc voltage to maintain target cut height as material moves with heat. Presets for steel/stainless/aluminum and hole controls (slowdown/overcut) improve edge quality and consumable life.

Ohmic (standard) is ideal for thin material; minimal force on the sheet. Floating is used for submerged cutting and on rusted/painted material; it also offers very fast plate reference (~125 IPM).

Waterbed (standard) controls smoke and cools parts, helping tolerances; sizes 4×4/4×8/5×10 ship with ~3″ depth (deeper optional), larger start at ~4″. Downdraft gives dry parts off the table — excellent for 20–26 ga HVAC work.

Yes. Rota-cut offers a true 8″ chuck (R3: 10″) and ≈2.5″–3.0″ through-hole, with quick-change 3-jaw ↔ 4-jaw and visualization software. Field-addable.

Yes. Proton Z supports a 3.5″ barrel router; swap from torch to router in <1 minute. Two 110 VAC relays are already in the electronics.

The platform handles heavy-plate oxy-fuel cutting (in addition to conventional plasma).

Frames are fully welded with at least 10,000 lb load capacity (higher on larger travels). They’re powder-coated OSHA blue, then unitized and CNC bridge-milled after powder coat. 5/8″ steel feet with 3/4-16 leveling.

Steel, stainless, and aluminum are standard. The THC and control flexibility also allow work with other alloys (e.g., titanium, brass, bronze) and non-metals for routing and scribing.

Free technical support is included; systems ship with a full CAD/CAM path (2D CAD → CAM → G-code). Warranty: 2-year electrical. On site training available for a fee.

Size your source to your thickest production need. Example guidance: ~100 A+ for production 1/2″ steel; ~45 A can still cut 1/2″ at lower duty/throughput. (Choose based on your real workload.)

Yes—use floating head (ohmic is not used submerged).

Built and tested in the USA; deployed across industries, schools, and shops worldwide. Many customers add second, third, and fourth machines.
